Job Summary
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on cranes, trailers, and support equipment, including oil changes, brake work, tire service, and suspension repairs. Troubleshoot and fix electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and air brake systems while recording hours and mileage in logbooks. Collaborate with crane operators to identify early issues and conduct shop safety audits. Work Monday to Friday in mostly 8–9 hour days, rotating between the shop and outdoor sites. This role supports a specialized fleet of 125–300 ton Link-Belt and Tadano cranes and offers steady hours within a tight-knit team environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1st or 2nd Year Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Experience working on heavy equipment or cranes
- Strong mechanical aptitude across electrical, hydraulic, suspension, and air brake systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work locally
Desired Qualifications
- Background in heavy equipment, crane, or industrial environments
- Comfort with diagnostics involving electrical and fuel systems
- Experience working with maintenance tracking, logbooks, or digital repair records
- Class 1 license
