Job Summary
Read diagrams and manufacturers' manuals to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubles in excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, gravel trucks, trailers, and crew trucks. Operate hoists to position parts safely while lubricating, servicing, repairing, and assembling equipment per specifications. Perform CVIP inspections and connect computers to identify fault codes. Provide guidance to apprentices and suggest policy improvements. Requires a Red Seal certification, Class 5 driver's license, clean abstract, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- RED SEAL certified
- legal to work in Canada
- Minimum class 5 (non-GDL) driver's license
- Clean driver's abstract, must be approved by ABL's Insurance carrier
- Excellent mechanical knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work as a team player
- Physically fit, heavy lifting required
Desired Qualifications
- Class 1 or 3 drivers license
