Heavy Duty/Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and overhaul the mobile equipment fleet, including diesel and propane forklifts, trucks, and trailers. Conduct safety certifications, recondition machinery, and manage shop tools and parts inventory. Document all completed repairs and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and quality control standards. Perform routine manual labor involving heavy lifting and work around large equipment in all weather conditions. This role requires a certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician with 5+ years of heavy equipment experience and strong communication skills to lead and train team members.
Required Qualifications
- certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians or similar certified trade
- Experience working safely

- 5+ years of experience in a mechanic role working on heavy equipment
- physically capable of performing the routine manual labourer components of the position which include but are not limited to heavy lifting (up to 100lbs), working with and around large equipment, exposure to all weather conditions, noise, dust, and chemical agents used in the mechanical field

- trainer who can work with all levels of management and non-supervisory employees to execute the responsibilities of this role
- Able to exercise good judgement and initiative
