Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel-powered fleet vehicles by performing OEM diagnostics, troubleshooting engine and electrical issues, and replacing components like radiators and injectors. Complete mid-level engine and drivetrain repairs while conducting preventative maintenance and inspections. Accurately document all repairs and recommendations, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment that meets quality and safety standards. This full-time in-shop position in Urbana, IL offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $28.00 to $31.00, along with health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
- B Level technician with strong diagnostic abilities
- Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
- Knowledge of diesel engines, cooling systems, fuel systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Ability to diagnose and repair radiators, injectors, and other mid-level mechanical issues
- Valid driver's license
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
