Job Summary
Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain light-duty, heavy-duty, and automotive equipment including baggage carts, generators, and forklifts under Journeyman supervision. Diagnose problems, perform inspections, oil changes, and preventive maintenance on company vehicles. Test repaired equipment, maintain documentation in MTCpro, and request parts while managing inventory. Travel approximately 50% to various sites in Manitoba and Nunavut for all assigned duties. Shift work includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
- Current Heavy-Duty and/or Automotive Apprentice
- 1-5 years of experience
- Valid class 5 driving license
- Travel required – approximately 50%
- Must be able to obtain, retain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance pass
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in heavy duty / automotive considered an asset
- Inuktitut and/or Inuinnaqtun language considered an asset
- Preference given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
