Job Summary

Inspect and repair basic engine components, troubleshoot electrical issues, and fix lights, brakes, and tires. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers while maintaining accurate documentation. Operate forklifts and drive trucks or trailers when necessary, and execute welding and fabrication as needed. Adhere to industrial safety standards and OSHA guidelines while following good housekeeping practices. Make recommendations for process system improvements and complete all other assigned tasks. This role supports the fleet's safety and reliability within a team focused on environmental stewardship and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in transport mechanics or a related field
  • General knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements
  • Clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more consistently
  • Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong welding and fabrication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
  • A dedicated team player who contributes to the overall success of the organization

Desired Qualifications

  • Class A Commercial Driver License
