Job Summary
Heavy-Duty Truck Technician responsible for diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on the company’s fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers; perform welding and fabrication; diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues; use diagnostic tools and software to identify repairs; maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules; adhere to safety standards, environmental regulations, and warranty policies; respond to emergency roadside service calls and stay current with new technology and repair techniques in the diesel and heavy equipment industry.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (heavy-duty preferred)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- CDL license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- ASE Certification(s) or manufacturer-specific training a plus
