Heavy Civil Senior Estimator

Job Summary
Manage bid/proposal preparation for heavy civil construction projects, coordinating a team of estimators and support staff to deliver conceptual budgets and final estimates ranging from $5 million to $100 million. Execute bid item setup, data entry, pricing, and closeout while reviewing productivity reports and integrating subcontractor proposals into unit price figures. Lead formal presentations, value engineering alternates, and final negotiations with clients and construction managers, including preparing CPM schedules and attending pre-bid meetings. Train and mentor junior estimators while maintaining bid master codebooks and transferring project data for awarded contracts.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year civil or mechanical engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- 10+ years estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience (at least 5 years estimating) in construction with a focus on heavy civil construction
- Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts (unit price; lump sum; TxDOT; design-build; etc.)
- Ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort
- Must have the ability to prepare complex proposals with principal oversight
- Microsoft Office applications
- HCSS (including Heavy Bid/Heavy Job)
- Scheduling software/CPM (including Primavera and MS Project)
- Viewpoint (PM module, SL module, PO module)
- Strong technical and proposal writing skills
- Strong skills with personal digital devices
- Salesforce
- OSHA Training
- Location: West Palm Beach, FL
