Job Summary

Lead heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion in Washington state, handling estimating and project management duties to own and drive infrastructure work. Responsibilities include reviewing plans and bid documents, performing quantity takeoffs, developing detailed estimates, soliciting subcontractor pricing, identifying risks and bid strategies, preparing proposals and schedules, managing project budgets and schedules, negotiating subcontractor agreements and purchase orders, handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress billings, coordinating with owners, engineers, subcontractors and field personnel, monitoring productivity, quality, safety and risk, leading project meetings and client communications, and supporting closeout documentation. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) and 3+ years (5+ preferred) of relevant experience. Travel across Washington and the ability to work in both office and field environments are necessary. Knowledge of earthwork, utilities, sitework, environmental restoration, dam/water resource projects, and public works contracting is preferred, along with experience in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years (5+ years preferred) of heavy civil construction, engineering, estimating, or project management experience
  • Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, sitework, environmental restoration, dam/water resource projects, and public works contracting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and project controls
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout Washington as needed
  • Ability to work in both office and construction site environments, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders or slopes, and performing site inspections in varying weather conditions
