Job Summary
Coordinate bid setup, data entry, and pricing for proposals, incorporating historical productivity data into unit and man-hour figures. Provide conceptual and final estimating input for small projects while offering take-off and technical support for larger estimates. Review specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and solicit subcontractor quotations to determine scope and required contents. Maintain heavy bid codebooks, transfer bid data, and track awarded contracts including change orders and extra work items. Mentor junior estimators and ensure all working documents back up estimate figures.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or related experience
- 3+ years estimating, cost control and/or engineering experience (at least 1 year estimating) in construction
- Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts
- Ability to coordinate and supervise group work effort
- Ability to prepare small and non-multispecialty proposals with minimal supervision
- Incumbent will have oversight for profit/loss responsibility to the company
- Specialty estimating experience in one of Posillico's operations
- Microsoft Office applications
- HCSS (including Heavy Bid/Heavy Job)
- Business Center Training
- Scheduling software/CPM (including Primavera and MS Project)
- Viewpoint (PM module, JC module)
- Strong technical and proposal writing skills
- OSHA Training
- ISQFT cloud based sub/vendor solicitation software
