Job Summary
Schedule and manage day-to-day site activities including workforce, materials, equipment, and subcontractors under the direction of the Regional Superintendent. Ensure work performed meets project requirements, quality standards, schedule, and budget while overseeing site reporting for payroll, safety documentation, and equipment tracking. Coordinate delivery of materials and monitor project costs, managing safety requirements to enforce Health, Safety & Environmental standards. Lead crews and equipment with demonstrated leadership skills, interpreting drawings and specifications to maintain quality. Work overnight shifts and weekends as required, traveling to various job sites with a valid G driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Prior heavy civil construction experience
- Prior heavy civil construction experience (Rehabilitation or New Bridge Construction Experience)
- Supervisory or Team Lead experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specification
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to command respect (particularly with Health & Safety requirements and regulations)
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and takes ownership of their work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Must be willing to travel to and/or work from various job sites
- Must be willing to work overnight shifts and weekends if/when required due to project deadlines and demands
- Must have a full valid G driver's license
