Job Summary
Schedule and manage day-to-day site activities including workforce, materials, equipment, and subcontractors under the direction of the Regional Superintendent. Ensure all work meets project requirements, quality standards, and budget while overseeing payroll, safety documentation, and equipment tracking. Coordinate material delivery, monitor project costs, and enforce Health, Safety & Environmental regulations. Lead crews with demonstrated leadership skills, interpret drawings, and solve problems on tight deadlines. Requires full valid G driver's license, LiUNA signatory status, and willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and travel across West Ontario sites.
Required Qualifications
- Prior heavy civil construction experience
- Prior heavy civil construction experience (Rehabilitation or New Bridge Construction Experience)
- Supervisory or Team Lead experience
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specification
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to command respect (particularly with Health & Safety requirements and regulations)
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and takes ownership of their work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Must be willing to travel to and/or work from various job sites
- Must be willing to work overnight shifts and weekends if/when required due to project deadlines and demands
- Must have a full valid G driver's license
