Job Summary
Maintenance, repair, and installation of heating and air conditioning systems across district facilities; diagnose and fix malfunctions, calibrate and replace controls including thermostats; installation of new HVAC systems and ductwork; perform preventive maintenance, inspect completed work, manage materials and records, and assist energy manager with energy conservation surveys; requires diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC equipment and components, reading blueprints/schematics, and adhering to safety protocols with 45+ lb lifting and frequent physical demands.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) journeyman HVAC Class B license
- Clear and valid Texas driver’s license
- Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- 4 years experience in HVAC field preferred
