Job Summary
Operate heat-treating furnaces and related production equipment to process automotive wheels and metal components according to established specifications. Load and unload parts, racks, baskets, and fixtures while monitoring furnace temperatures, cycle times, and controls to make approved process adjustments. Inspect finished components for defects, separate nonconforming material, and notify quality personnel of issues. Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and housekeeping to maintain safe, efficient operations while following OSHA procedures and lockout/tagout requirements. Maintain accurate production records, inspection results, and shift reports. Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to address equipment issues, reduce downtime, and meet daily output requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Heat Treat Operator
- Ability to operate heat-treating furnaces and related production equipment
- Knowledge of automotive wheels and metal components
- Ability to process materials according to established temperature, timing, and production specifications
- Ability to load and unload parts, racks, baskets, and fixtures
- Ability to maintain proper material flow
- Ability to ensure components are positioned correctly throughout the heat-treating process
- Ability to monitor furnace temperatures, cycle times, controls, and equipment operation
- Ability to make approved process adjustments
- Ability to report abnormalities to supervisors or maintenance personnel
- Ability to inspect finished components for proper appearance, defects, and processing requirements
- Ability to separate nonconforming material
- Ability to notify quality personnel when issues are identified
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting

- Availability for Dayshift, M - F
- Availability for 2nd Shift (Start Time: 3PM)
- Availability for 3rd Shift (Start Time: 11:30PM)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts
- Ability to work overtime
