Job Summary
Heat Treat Operator sets up, operates, and tends heat-treating equipment (furnaces, induction machines, soaking pits, etc.) to temper, harden, anneal, or heat-treat steel. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, setting furnace temperature controls, monitoring performance, performing quality inspections and hardness testing, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with team to ensure quality production; requires adherence to safety standards and ability to perform 6S housekeeping and basic maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Pre-employment drug & background screening
- Lift, push & pull 10 to 50 lbs.
- Wear department PPE
- Regularly stand and move throughout the department
- Mechanical aptitude and prior industrial experience a plus
