Job Summary
Assist with furnace and product setups per heat treat schedules, perform labor support functions including fork transfer, furnace surveys, and material handling. Operate overhead, radio-controlled, and automated guide vehicles for fitment and transport. Maintain reports, conduct routine preventative maintenance, and uphold highest quality standards while adhering to plant safety rules. Lead safety improvements and assist in developing training procedures for new operators. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Plant Manager at ECG's Sharon, PA facility, offering compensation based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize between development projects and daily responsibilities
- Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
- Solid verbal and written communication skills, strong math skills
- Must have the ability to successfully transfer knowledge and train others in best practices
- Thorough understanding of our manufacturing processes
- Understanding and ability to layout and stage parts as required
- Desire for continuous improvement – ability to find better ways of doing things
- Ability to work well with a team while also working independently
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds frequently
- Must be able to sit frequently

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with heat treat equipment preferred
- Preferred: Experience working with refractory materials and furnace rebuilding
