Job Summary
Operate and assist in heat-treating pipe material while ensuring safe, compliant shift operations. Report to the immediate supervisor for daily task briefings, then maintain equipment, enforce housekeeping ethics, and assist with charging/discharging material on racks. Verify and record production findings in the ERP system, inspect areas and equipment, and communicate concerns to the Heat Treat Supervisor to achieve quality products meeting specifications. Assist in clean-up, repair, and replacement of equipment during maintenance shutdowns. Work in a manufacturing environment with a flexible schedule that may require overtime.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds
- The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE
- Ability to see 20-20 when corrected
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years' experience or on the job training
- Knowledge and experience within the OCTG pipe inspection industry
- Knowledge of the heat treat processes, procedures, and technical instruments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Employees must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time
