Heat Treat Assistant Technician

Job Summary
Perform electrical heat treatment on components across refining, petrochemical, power, and construction industries by setting up and completing jobs, conducting equipment calibrations, and maintaining facilities. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety standards, alerting others to hazards, and instructing assistants on proper equipment setup, tear-down, and routine maintenance. Conduct job walks, communicate requirements to clients and co-workers, and ensure projects are completed on schedule. Travel 25% to 50% of the time, including off-site locations, while lifting up to 75 pounds and working in noisy plant atmospheres.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
- Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
- Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities to communicate effectively
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations
- Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
- Must be able to tolerate climate changes
- Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
