Job Summary
Heat Road Technician II provides on-site service and repair of climate equipment to help customers get the job done right. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing natural gas, propane, diesel, and electric-fired heaters, performing gas-related inspections and repairs in compliance with Ontario gas codes and TSSA regulations, driving to customer sites to perform onsite repairs, ensuring equipment is rental-ready and meets safety standards, following checklists and manuals, operating and testing equipment, providing guidance to Service Technicians on required service/repairs, assisting in equipment retirement decisions, and communicating features, benefits, safe operating techniques, and related accessories to customers while maintaining safety, accuracy in paperwork, and inventory control.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid G Class Drivers License and clean abstract
- 5-7 years experience with electrical, air conditioning, heating, hydronics, and oil and repair and maintenance of construction heaters and equipment
- Valid TSSA Ontario Certificate of Qualification G2 required and G1 preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and general electrical understanding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Results-oriented and team-focused
- Flexible and able to multi-task in fast-paced environment
