Job Summary
Heat Road Technician II provides on-site service and repair of climate equipment (natural gas, propane, diesel, and electric-fired heaters). Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing heaters, performing gas-related inspections per Ontario gas codes and TSSA regulations, driving to customer sites, ensuring equipment is rental-ready, following checklists, operating and testing equipment, guiding other technicians, advising on equipment retirement, transferring product knowledge to customers, and maintaining inventory and paperwork. Requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication skills. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, valid G Class license, and 5-7 years of relevant experience; TSSA G2 certificate required with G1 preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid G Class Driver’s License and clean abstract
- 5-7 years’ experience working with electrical, air conditioning, heating, hydronics, and oil and repair and maintenance of construction heaters and equipment
- Valid TSSA Ontario Certificate of Qualification G2 required and G1 preferred
