Job Summary
Heat Road Technician II provides on-site service and repair of climate equipment (electrical, propane, and natural gas heaters) including diagnosis and repair, inspections, and maintenance in compliance with gas codes. Responsibilities include driving to customer sites, ensuring equipment is rental-ready and safe, following checklists and manuals, operating and testing equipment, and sharing knowledge with Heat Service Technicians. Must transfer product knowledge to customers, resolve issues, maintain inventory and paperwork, and support equipment retirement decisions. Requires 5-7 years’ experience in electrical/heating equipment, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, safety awareness, and effective communication; valid Alberta driver’s license with clean abstract and Alberta AIT Class B (Class A preferred). The role is permanent, hourly, and office-based in Calgary with in-person work.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract
- Valid Alberta AIT Class B license required and Class A preferred
- 5-7 years’ experience working with electrical, air conditioning, heating, hydronics, and oil and repair and maintenance of construction heaters and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude, and general electrical understanding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Results-oriented, achieving high levels of individual and team performance
