Job Summary
As a Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator at Heartwood, you will practice safety rules, follow verbal and written instructions, and report to your immediate supervisor. Responsibilities include mobilizing equipment, performing quality work per project specifications, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment and tools, and assisting with various tasks as directed by management. The role also requires physical capabilities, such as lifting up to 50 pounds, extended periods of standing, and working in various environmental conditions. You will need to demonstrate proficiency with hand tools and motorized equipment while maintaining safety and compliance with all regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities
- Valid driver’s license required
Desired Qualifications
- Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy
- Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required
- Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company
