Job Summary
Conduct weekly or fortnightly one-on-one social visits with elderly individuals living at home in the Central Coast area. Engage in gentle conversations to listen to memories, discuss family, hobbies, and past adventures, and provide companionship to ease loneliness and foster a sense of belonging. Maintain regular contact for a minimum of six months, with visits scheduled between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Sunday. This role supports HammondCare's Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, funded by the Australian Government, to enhance the quality of life for older community members.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- National Volunteer Police Check
- One hour visits for 6 months or longer
- Availability between Monday to Sunday, 9am-4pm
