Job Summary
Lead day-to-day management of heart and lung transplant inpatients, including pre-, intra-, and postoperative care, ICU rounding, and discharge planning. Coordinate multidisciplinary care with transplant cardiology, pulmonology, ECMO/VAD services, infectious diseases, pharmacy, PT/OT, social work, and care management. Participate in organ offers/list management, selection conferences, operative planning, and OR participation for transplant and related procedures. Serve as a teaching assistant for junior fellows and residents, contributing to bedside teaching, case-based education, and structured didactics. Engage in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives within the programs. Participate in call as assigned. This two-rotation-based fellowship is directed by heart and lung division co-chiefs and offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment focused on improving community health.
