Job Summary
Lead day-to-day management of heart and lung transplant inpatients, including pre-, intra-, and postoperative care, ICU rounding, and discharge planning. Coordinate multidisciplinary care with transplant cardiology, pulmonology, advanced heart and lung failure teams, ECMO/VAD services, infectious diseases, pharmacy, PT/OT, social work, and care management. Participate in organ offers/list management, selection conferences, operative planning, and OR participation for transplant and related procedures. Engage in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives within the transplant programs. Participate in call as assigned. Serve as a teaching assistant for junior cardiothoracic fellows and residents, contributing to bedside teaching, case-based education, and structured didactics.
