Job Summary
Transplant Coordinator role focusing on nursing care coordination for transplant patients; delivers and documents care per medical orders within an integrated plan; administers prescribed medications and ensures safety through assessment, coordination, and clinical leadership; organizes care with patients and families, applying sound clinical judgment; operates independently within Nurse Practice Act and established policies; works closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize transplant patient outcomes; requires Virginia RN licensure, BLS, and considerable transplant/ICU/med-surg nursing experience; leadership experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in transplant, critical care or medical-surgical nursing
- Two (2) years of progressive leadership experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
