Job Summary
Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart transplant and VAD patients in collaboration with regional academic cardiac surgical centers in the Northeast. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including specialists in cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery to manage cardiomyopathies such as hypertrophic and infiltrative disorders. Mentor medical students, residents, and fellows while contributing to an innovative, patient-centered advanced heart failure program. Albany Medical College is the capital region's only academic medical center and a leading teaching hospital in upstate New York.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree
- board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease
- Clinically oriented
- sufficient research experience
- teaching abilities
- Eligible for academic appointment
- medical licensure in the state of New York
