Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner for Hackensack Meridian Health’s Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension team at Hackensack University Medical Center. Lead inpatient care with a caseload of 5-10 inpatients daily, conduct new patient evaluations, and manage ongoing care in the outpatient clinic. Apply advanced clinical skills to interpret complex data including hemodynamic monitoring from right heart catheterizations and Swan-Ganz catheters to guide therapies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage advanced medical therapies (IV inotropes and prostacyclins) and ensure seamless discharge planning, providing comprehensive coverage for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- MSN with Advanced Practice Nurse credentials
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
