Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner on the Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension team at Hackensack University Medical Center. Lead inpatient care with a caseload of 5-10 inpatients daily, conduct new patient evaluations, and manage ongoing care in the outpatient clinic. Utilize advanced clinical skills to interpret hemodynamic data from right heart catheterizations and Swan-Ganz catheters to guide treatments for pulmonary hypertension. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage advanced medical therapies, including IV inotropes and prostacyclins, and ensure seamless discharge planning. Provide comprehensive coverage for both inpatient and outpatient services to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- MSN with Advanced Practice Nurse credentials
