Hearing Representative, Settlements and OSA Workers' Compensation (Hybrid)

Job Summary
Prepare and appear virtually at all settlement hearings, including status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, lien conferences, and OSA hearings. Update each case file before and after every hearing to reflect the record, while reaching out to clients and sending required communications on schedule. Resolve Orders Suspending Action from receipt to final clearance by compiling files, curing defects, and drafting necessary letters. Coordinate with attorneys and settlement staff to escalate approvals and maintain alignment on matter status. Meet weekly metrics for hearing preparation, OSA queue management, and client communication. This role requires hearing experience in California workers' compensation and proficiency with WCAB procedure and EAMS e-filing. Bilingual English/Spanish is a significant plus.
Required Qualifications
- Hearing experience in California workers' compensation
- Experience prepping and appearing at WCAB hearings
- Comfort on the record before a Workers' Compensation Judge
- Solid working knowledge of workers' compensation practice
- Knowledge of WCAB procedure
- Knowledge of OSAs
- Knowledge of the C&R/OACR process
- Knowledge of EAMS e-filing
- Highly organized
- Ability to keep dozens of matters moving without dropping details
- Strong multitasking ability
- Comfort working under deadlines
- Comfort working with shifting priorities
- Self-motivated
- Comfort being held to weekly performance metrics
- Clear, professional communication with clients
