Job Summary
Hearing Instrument Sales Specialist Trainee will be trained in hearing aid fittings, service/repairs, and sales, including product knowledge, testing, diagnosis of hearing loss, fittings and sales of hearing products and accessories, patient counseling, and aural rehabilitation. Trainees will learn to serve patients remotely via Starkey's TeleHear program, pursue licensure with Starkey sponsorship, and undergo hands-on training with a sponsor, job shadowing, travel to other locations, and travel to Starkey training events. Responsibilities include conducting patient diagnostics and comprehensive hearing evaluations, making appropriate recommendations based on test results, programming and servicing hearing instruments, providing patient journey counseling, and supporting TeleHear tools for remote care. The program includes travel to other regions, attendance at meetings, and adherence to corporate guidelines. Education, licensing, and experience prerequisites are outlined, with a pathway to licensure and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- High school required; college degree preferred or equivalent work history in a healthcare or technical field; Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders ideal.
- 1+ years of Sales experience preferred and/or background in medical or hearing aid industry.
