Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, diagnose hearing loss, and perform diagnostics to identify type and degree of impairment. Execute patient counseling, instruction, and remote service delivery via TeleHear programs using tools like TEAMS and VSEE. Master troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing all hearing instruments and accessories while learning Starkey product programming. Complete requisite temporary licensure and practicum hours by shadowing specialists, potentially traveling to other regions. Provide timely data for insurance billing and maintain quality checks on dispensing skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school required
- Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders ideal
- 1+ years of Sales experience preferred and/or background in medical or hearing aid industry
- Knowledge of the hearing aid industry a plus
- Ability to organize and execute a plan
- Good problem solving, analytical abilities, verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Comfortable working with online computer systems and programs
- Public speaking experience and training
- Must complete the requisite for a dispensing license and practice within applicable state law prior to obtaining said licensure
- Must be able to travel to other locations
- Travel to Starkey training events may be required
Desired Qualifications
- College degree preferred or equivalent work history in a healthcare or technical field
- Experience preferred
