Job Summary
The Hearing Care Coordinator collaborates with clinical staff to deliver quality patient care in the hearing clinic. Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, performing benefit checks and insurance authorization, handling patient intake and payments, processing repairs under supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional, preparing deposits and daily reports, maintaining inventory, coordinating with physicians and staff, and supporting event planning for community outreach. Strong communication, customer service, and HIPAA-compliant data handling are required; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree, preferred
- Prior experience/knowledge with hearing aids is a plus
- 2+ years in a health care environment is preferred
- Previous customer service experience is required
- Professional verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- EMR/EHR experience a plus
- Microsoft Office and Outlook
