Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate the Healthy Transition to Adulthood youth program to support Aboriginal community members through their transition into adulthood. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of project objectives while assisting in developing trauma-informed care training materials and resources. Provide administrative support for scheduling, reporting, and documentation, and contribute to data collection and analysis for monitoring purposes. Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required. This full-time role within Wirraka Maya Health Services focuses on reducing substance use, improving sexual health knowledge, and enhancing social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in South Hedland.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination or similar roles within the community services sector
- An understanding of trauma-informed care principles and their application within an Aboriginal health context
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent organisational abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of social emotional well-being (SEWB) principles
- Proficiency in using IT systems for data management and reporting purposes
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Australian working rights (no visa sponsorship available)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is highly desirable
