Job Summary
The Healthy Lifestyles Specialist oversees Healthy Lifestyles (Health & Wellness and Sports & Recreation) programs at assigned Clubhouses, including planning, development, reporting, and implementation in collaboration with the Programs team. May serve as acting Clubhouse supervisor in the absence of the Clubhouse Director and Assistant Director. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience with youth in health, wellness, or recreation settings. Proficient with Microsoft/Google productivity tools; able to manage multi-age groups and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; responsibility for the safety and well-being of others. Shift is Monday–Friday, 10 AM–7 PM; compensation is $19.00 hourly with full-time benefits after 60 days. Employment includes benefits such as Medical/Dental/Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k), PSLF eligibility, PTO/holidays, and required background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization working with youth in a health, wellness, sports, and/or recreation setting
- Ability to use Microsoft and/or Google suite
- Ability to manage multi-age groups and large groups in organized activities
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated responsibility for safety, well-being, and output of others
- Drug testing and fingerprint-based background checks are required as conditions of employment
