Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS role supports invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision, assisting with imaging, monitoring, scrub and circulator duties, patient transport, and equipment setup while maintaining sterile technique and inventory control. Key responsibilities include assisting with teaching/orientation, operating imaging equipment under physician direction, interpreting basic to advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, monitoring patient status, preparing and maintaining cath lab readiness, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring post-procedure safety and hemostasis. Required qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or healthcare-related field, current ACLS, RCIS certification within six months, ARRT and TX RT(R) if RCIS is not held, and preferred experience in Cath/Interventional Radiology. Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
- Cath or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred
