Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS will assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under supervision, functioning as a monitor tech, scrub tech, and circulator as needed. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, interpreting basic and advanced EKGs and pressures/wave forms, assisting physicians with procedures, preparing and transporting patients, stocking and maintaining cath lab supplies, ensuring sterile technique, training and orienting students/new staff, and troubleshooting equipment. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in science (or commensurate healthcare experience), current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support, RCIS certification within six months of hire (or ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS), and cath/interventional radiology experience is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- AR R T and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
- Cath or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred
