Job Summary
Identify and evaluate emerging IT technologies, vendors, and pricing benchmarks for healthcare facilities using internal databases. Analyze quotations for equipment and software from a financial perspective to facilitate price negotiations and assist with capital equipment planning and budgeting projects. Research new hardware, software, and services to provide updates to the product catalog system and draft recommendations for new Market Intelligence reports. Survey client requests and feedback to identify trends, then establish strong relationships by keeping clients informed of project status and key developments. Work with the Data Management and Insights group to suggest vendors and models for inclusion in reports, while attending relevant trade shows for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in a healthcare facility related to medical equipment or technology, supply chain, procurement, data analytics, healthcare IT systems assessment, selection, procurement, and installation, or a related clinical advisory role
- High-level familiarity with clinical and healthcare IT systems and software applications, clinical workflows, and terminology in the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration
- Ability to translate clinical requirements into technical specifications
- Ability to conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare IT procurement, healthcare IT systems, and related devices and software
- Knowledge of database management, data integration, and data analytics tools
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and select vendors for healthcare IT solutions and conduct thorough assessments of vendor capabilities and offerings
- Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities for multiple simultaneous tasks, and meet strict deadlines
- Strong customer service, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to think analytically
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, healthcare information management (HIM), health informatics, business, life sciences, health policy, mathematics, supply chain/procurement, or a related field
- A clinical background to understand clinical workflows and challenges
Desired Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or certifications in clinical informatics or business applications
