Job Summary
Conduct financial accounting projects including annual budgets, reconciliation of accounts, and monthly financial analyses for Plante Moran's Healthcare Senior Living practice in Cleveland, OH. Complete the monthly financial statement close process, posting journal entries, and communicate findings to clients, bankers, and attorneys. Reconcile accounting sub-ledger systems to the general ledger and investigate related issues while developing operational control recommendations. Perform data collection and analysis for senior care projects using benchmark data. Prepare written and oral reports for third parties. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3+ years of staff accountant experience, and knowledge of PointClickCare or Sage Intacct. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of full charge staff accountant experience including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations and workpaper preparation experience
- 3+ years minimum experience with computerized accounting systems, including: General ledger through financial statement
- Experience with PointClickCare or Sage Intacct
- Experience with Yardi, Peachtree and/or Creative Solutions
- Experience with Fixed assets and depreciation
- Experience with FX and/or FAS
- Payroll, including preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filings
- Travel throughout the eastern and central time zones on occasion with approximately 5% overnight travel
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, with the exception of qualified candidates who are bilingual in either Japanese and English or Chinese and English
