Job Summary
Conduct security patrols, monitor access control, and provide customer assistance to uphold hospital safety for staff, patients, and visitors. Serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities and supervise at-risk patients within the hospital environment. Perform assigned duties including maintaining security standards and adhering to Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon policies. Obtain and maintain applicable state security licenses and Taser qualifications, including annual training and demonstration of working knowledge of TASER equipment. Work variable hours across all seven days, with shifts potentially exceeding 40 hours, requiring the ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 80 lbs. while maintaining alertness in fast-paced or quiet environments.
Required Qualifications
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
- Must be able to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to help restrain or lift a person
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a Taser position and annually thereafter
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser
- Ability to participate in and pass additional Taser training at the discretion of the Taser instructor and/or Tarian
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian's Taser Policy
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision

- Must be able to engage in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation
