Job Summary
Conduct electrical design execution for various healthcare projects under senior engineer guidance. Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections for MEP systems while ensuring compliance with local, state, and national codes. Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, coordination, and budgeting, and participate in MEP systems reviews with code officials, contractors, architects, and clients. Prepare cost proposals and project contracts, including add service agreements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering for healthcare projects within an engineering consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience with design software such as Revit BIM, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Easypower
- Proficiency in national and local building codes, including NEC, State Energy Codes, NFPA guidelines, and FGI guidelines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively on project teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability
Desired Qualifications
- A PE license is preferred, but candidates pursuing licensure will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to learn and grow in a project management capacity
