Job Summary
Understand and interpret client design needs to create effective clinical interior space solutions. Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop creative designs, including space planning, furniture selection, product specification, and construction submittal documents. Perform site walks, conduct field verifications for plumbing, electrical, and backing, and coordinate with architects, general contractors, and equipment planners. Generate OSHPD/HCAI submittal documents, create 2D, 3D, and CET Designer rendered drawings, and produce installation packages using CAP 2020 software. Apply knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and healthcare furniture systems while communicating effectively with assigned project contacts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
- At least 3 years of previous experience as a Designer
- Proficient with AutoDesk (AutoCAD/Revit), Bluebeam, CET Designer, and Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of healthcare furniture systems, building codes, ADA and OSHPD
- Proficient in construction document production
- Self-motivated, self-learner with strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and listening skills
- Excellent presentation and customer service skills
- High degree of professionalism, honesty, ownership and integrity
- Ability to be optimistic, enthusiastic, collaborative, and think creatively
- Ability to visualize physical space to have a positive impact on the lives of others
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong project management, follow up and organizational skills
- Ability to perform successfully under pressure and effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes and create alternate solutions
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds
