Job Summary
Healthcare Insights Specialist delivers timely, accurate and actionable data-driven insights supporting the Healthcare Division’s strategic initiatives. Develops and maintains BI assets that deliver business insights to senior stakeholders. Performs deep-dive analyses to identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement and new value creation. Supports senior stakeholders with evidence-based recommendations. Actively contributes to strengthening and enriching healthcare data assets. Roles include end-to-end development and maintenance of performance management reports, leading deep dives into defined problem statements, defining specifications and standards for dashboards/reports with high QA practices, and coaching junior analysts on best practices in methods and data visualization. Also performs data reconciliation to source data, documents data lineage, and supports onboarding new data sources into the Healthcare Datamart. The role emphasizes communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders and building data-driven insights to help healthcare providers and organizations live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Health Economics, Life Sciences with analytical coursework, Engineering with quantitative focus, or Actuarial Science)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in analytics, consulting, or actuarial role, preferably in a healthcare or payer setting
- Ability to frame and communicate ambiguous or complex questions into structured analytical problems
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in analytics tools and programming (SQL, R, Python) and business visualization (PowerBI, Tableau)
