Job Summary
Lead health and wellness activities and manage day-to-day healthcare operations for the resident population. Conduct pre-move-in and periodic reevaluations to develop and revise unique service plans, then review these with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and family members. Oversee medication management programs by auditing physician orders, managing controlled drugs, and supervising technicians and unlicensed personnel through competency validation. Serve as the community's infection preventionist while monitoring quality indicators to drive improvement plans. Build and develop the resident care team by interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and evaluating staff within the established budget.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid and unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in accordance with State regulations and requirements
- Has completed any State-required training courses related to practicing nursing in assisted living (for example Delegating Nurse course, State-specific medication training courses etc.)
- Must be able to think critically and apply knowledge and principles of the nursing process to promote safe, quality care
- 1-2 years' experience required
- Current CPR certification is required
- Must be able to work occasional weekends, off-shifts and take calls after hours as needed
- Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 3 or more years' experience preferred
- Supervisory/management experience is strongly preferred
