Job Summary
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes and industry practices by investigating key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and healthcare cost data. Translate specific business issues into functional and analytic results to provide recommendations supporting critical decisions, while developing and presenting cost-benefit analyses for proposed programs. Monitor operational, financial, clinical, and utilization data to identify emerging trends for internal and external clients, communicating findings and ad hoc analyses across various functional areas. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, three years of healthcare analytic experience, and proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and advanced analytics tools. Salary range $70,218.51-$117,008.35.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Information Science, Computer Science, Actuarial Science Finance or Math)
- 3 years of minimum healthcare analytic role experience
- 3 years of intermediate SQL, Microsoft Office such as Excel (formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, pivot tables, etc.), Visio, and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to meet frequently tight deadlines and to produce accurate appropriate analyses
- Strong aptitude for quickly troubleshooting and identifying the cause of questionable results within data and analyses
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team
- Understanding of health care terminology and knowledgeable/experienced with provider data, claims data (pharmacy & medical), lab data, financial and enrollment data
- Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Advanced programming skills (e.g., Python and R), model development, regression analysis, and proficiency with advanced analytics and AI tools
