Job Summary
Healthcare Data Analyst role analyzing US health insurance policy data and translating complex medical and pharmacy policies into actionable insights. Responsibilities include reviewing policies across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans, validating formulary status, prior authorization, step therapy, and other utilization-management criteria; using analytics tools to generate recommendations for process improvements; documenting policy assessments; collaborating with internal teams and external partners; and communicating findings clearly. Required skills include a Life Sciences bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of Pharma/Healthcare experience, proficiency in Excel and SQL/Power BI (Python a plus), and strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Hybrid work option available at Chennai or Hyderabad; in-person days determined by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacology, Dentistry, or related field)
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Pharma/Healthcare (pharmacovigilance, insurance, health IT)
- Certification in SQL, Power BI, or similar technical skills is preferred
- Prior experience in the corporate healthcare industry is required
- Experience in healthcare policy, insurance, compliance, or related areas with knowledge of US healthcare regulations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with secondary data sources such as FDA databases, Redbook, and clinical labels is preferred
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholder engagement and cross-functional teamwork
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Suite; advanced Excel; working knowledge of SQL and Python or similar programming language
