Healthcare Construction Superintendent II

Job Summary
Lead medium to large healthcare construction projects on schedule and within budget by coordinating trade partners, field and office staff, and owners/architects. Enforce building codes, Graham safety and quality standards, and use Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Projects to manage schedules (six-week look ahead) and produce regular reports. Mentor carpenters, laborers, field engineers, and interns; manage budgets, labor, and cost codes; and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to secure repeat business. This field-based role requires night/weekend availability, travel within the Midwest (Des Moines area), and the ability to work across multiple sites while ensuring safety and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management or related degree
- 5 years of commercial construction experience or equivalent
- Ability to pass post-offer drug test
- OSHA 30 certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a field-based, construction-site environment
- Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Experience with project management/scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to navigate construction sites in various weather conditions
