Job Summary
Healthcare Construction Consultant manages information flow between hospital departments and contractors, oversees project schedules as it relates to establishing delivery schedules, and verifies compliance with healthcare-specific codes (e.g., FGI guidelines, NFPA 99). Individuals are responsible for reviewing change orders for submission, facilitating timelines for vendor delivery, and managing the project closeout and turnover processes. Responsibilities include stakeholder communication between owners’ representative and external construction partners to keep all parties aligned and on schedule, contract administration, budget reporting, regulatory compliance with NFPA 99 and infection control/life safety requirements, site visits to verify quality, coordination of installation and testing of specialized medical equipment, TAB procedures, and maintaining documentation for certifications and turnover.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
