Job Summary
Introduction to Nursing Instructor needed for an after-school, part-time enrichment program at a high school. Lead engaging, interactive sessions once per week for ~10 weeks, teaching foundational nursing concepts, health care pathways (RN, LPN/LVN, CNA, allied health), professionalism, infection control, vital signs, and basic clinical concepts. Facilitate discussions, demonstrations, and simple case scenarios; track attendance and project work; coordinate with school staff and program coordinators. Ideal candidates will have 60 college credits, a background in health fields, experience with youth, and strong communication and classroom facilitation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Background in nursing, health sciences, or a related health field
- Experience working with school-age students (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, camps, youth programs)
- Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to present health career content in an age-appropriate and engaging way
