Job Summary
Introduction to Nursing Instructor for after-school enrichment: Lead engaging weekly sessions (1–4 hours) for high school students over a ~10-week program, teaching foundational nursing concepts, health care career pathways (RN, LPN/LVN, CNA, allied health), professionalism, patient safety, infection control, vital signs, anatomy basics, and basic clinical concepts through discussions, demonstrations, and simple case scenarios. Responsibilities include leading interactive sessions, facilitating discussions and demonstrations, maintaining a safe inclusive classroom, coordinating with school staff and program coordinators, tracking attendance and progress, and guiding students on a final career reflection project. Requires presenting health career content in an engaging way and communicating professionally with school partners. Minimum 60 college credits; background in health fields; experience with youth; strong communication skills; flexible part-time scheduling. Most instructors teach 1–4 hours per week across different schools; assignments vary by location and schedule.
